Your Role at Impact:
The marketing department is looking for a highly organised, detail-oriented social media marketing professional to join the social media team in Cape Town. This role offers integral support to impact.com’s main social accounts on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, and will work closely with the social media marketing manager.
The successful candidate must have demonstrated experience in managing/streamlining/curating large volumes of content from multiple stakeholders, thinking strategically, and building best-in-class content daily. Manage multiple incoming content streams, this includes: All communications in Asana, Slack, and email. Vet content according to the latest social content policies. Strategically transform relevant stakeholder content into socially-optimised posts. Manage all stakeholder requests with the latest content policies & social strategy in mind. Plan and manage a high-volume content plan with 4 social content contributors, this includes deadline management, strategic placement, content mix & messaging balance. Schedule daily/ weekly on Hootsuite.
Content creation and production
Create social content from ideation to execution, already built-out marketing pieces, stakeholder briefs, and from large-scale markeitng campaigns and events, this includes: Fresh social content in line with social content strategy, from ideation to execution, including design briefs and reviews. Curate long-form stakeholder content into bite-size, thumb-stopping visuals, this includes design briefs and reviews. Transform stakeholder requests into concise design briefs, manage deadlines, and creatives. Use data insights to refresh, descope, update social visuals and copy where needed.
Data analysis and insights Maintain monthly post-level data with relevant campaign tags. Create insights from data and present to marketing manager. Build bi-yearly large scale report on data findings with actionable insights. Create data reports for marketing stakeholders on big campaigns.
Copywriting Daily social media copywriting in impact.com’s tone of voice and personality. Practice brevity: Create bite-size, stand-out copy from long-form pieces with social best practices in mind. Act as a sounding board for copy ideas, messaging and positioning. Research and select stratetgic hashtags for expanded reach and branding. Copy edit other contributors’ content. Write copy for marketing campaigns where needed.
Community management & strategic engagement Daily strategic engagement with current or potential followers & industry thought leaders. Meet engagement KPIs. Field daily social media complaints and queries during the SAST timezone (8 hour response time) across Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram. Building any new internal workflows needed to support this.
Marketing campaigns Represent the social department in relevant meetings and tracking documents. Create specialised content plans. Contribute creative ideas, research trends and best practices.
