Minimum requirements:

  • Matric or relevant tertiary qualification
  • +/- 2 years experience in managing a workforce of at least 15 employees in a supervisor/foreman
  • Sheet metal and G code programming experience would be beneficial (CAD/CAM or AP100)
  • Previous exposure to a production environment would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Strong technical/operational background
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Production planning (+/- 2 years),
  • OHSE experience and knowledge (+/- 2 years)
  • Knowledge of programming and/or operating CnC Punching machines (+/- 2 years)
  • Knowledge of programming and/or operating CnC Bending machines (+/- 2 years)
  • Sheet metal and G code programming experience would be beneficial (CAD/CAM or AP100)
  • Welding (+/- 2 years),
  • Own transport (due to overtime requirements)

Job summary:

  • To coordinate and monitor production in order to achieve business delivery targets.


  • Issue jobs to production as per daily production schedule
  • Stores requisitions & collections (in accordance with stores time slots
  • Scanning of jobs & allocation of material/components (Visual)
  • Final QC checks (handover to next department)
  • Ensuring maintenance logs are completed
  • Stock control

Quality Control:
Ensure that:

  • ISO requirements are met and maintained
  • Company and Client’s quality standards are complied with
  • Finished goods are checked and found to be correct, complete, and compliant prior to handover to the following department
  • Rectification and/or repair of non-conforming products is a priority, and those relevant departments are informed of delays and revised schedules
  • Non-conformance paperwork is raised, actioned, and processed
