Limited repairs may also be carried out from time to time.These responsibilities include performing regular inspections of pump sets,valves, sprinkler systems etc.To be asuccessful mechanical maintenance technician you should have a practical mind,mechanical aptitude, and strong attention to detail. Ultimately, a mechanical maintenancetechnician should be able to ensure that machinery and equipment are inexcellent operating condition.Duties andResponsibilities: Inspectand test mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment. Inspectand test both electrical and diesel driven pump sets as well as control valves,valve packs and sprinkler systems. ConductFlow tests, Performroutine control valve overhauls, Troubleshootingmachinery and performing routine preventative maintenance. Reading,interpreting and following instructions and operation manuals. Maintaininga schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery. Cleaning,repairing and installing equipment and parts as needed. Operatinga variety of hand and power tools. Maintaininga clean and organized work area. Complyingwith health and safety regulations.Skills,Knowledge and Abilities: Matricpreferable N4with Mechanical and/or Electromechanical subjects preferable 2+years of experience within Mechanical maintenance or in a similar role. Knowledgeand ability to operate hand and power tools. Mechanicalaptitude and ability to learn on site. Physicallyfit Goodtroubleshooting skills.
