We''re looking for Senior IT Development Manager who sets and leads the technology strategy for the business and is responsible for all aspects of the Business Units information technology and systems, as well as how these systems support and integrate with our partners, supplier and customer networks and plays a critical role in both influencing and informing the Business Units strategic direction.

Strategically focusing on digital transformation and data and analytics for us as a key differentiator for the future.

KEY OUTPUTS:

  • To lead and manage a team of software developers, supporting them in building industry-leading products using robust architectural practices and innovative software solutions that are fit for purpose. (Need to assist with coding and lead the team where necessary with this)
  • Driving the adoption of agile principals throughout development teams.
  • A good understanding of system architecture and the ability to design a to-be state
  • Lead a team that will deliver and meet our goals and objective aligned to its strategy. To ensure
    the development function is efficient by managing insourcing vs outsourcing capacity with cost
    and delivery requirements.
  • Provide the strategic and operational framework for the design, development and delivery of BU
    information and technology systems
  • Set objectives and strategies for the IT department
  • Select and implement suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize
    their strategic benefits
  • Design and customize technological systems and platforms to improve customer experience
  • Plan the implementation of new systems and provide guidance to IT professionals and other staff
    within the organization
  • Approve purchases of technological equipment and software and establish partnerships with IT
    providers
  • Oversee the technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization to
    ensure optimal performance
  • Direct and organize IT-related projects
  • Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can gain
    competitive advantage
  • Analyze the costs, value and risks of information technology to advise management and suggest
    actions
  • Building and visualizing data models for insights and utilisation across our business
  • Creating the data management processes to allow efficient and effective data access for key
    stakeholder groups
  • Developing and maintaining actual data warehouse and/or data mart solutions for our business
  • Designing, driving, and implementing respective data governance processes across the business
  • Developing and maintaining workflow and document /record management system
  • Co-create the strategy and roadmap for digital transformation of the business processes and
    systems to enable customer ecosystems
  • Working with Business Enablement Manager to ensure solutions are delivered in the most effective
    way, meeting requirements, and minimizing rework.

CRITICAL COMPETENCY AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Understanding of Azure DevOps, Active Directory, IIS, Kerberos Security Architecture, Power Shell, STSADM and Central Admin functionality, SharePoint Web Access, SharePoint Disk Usage, SharePoint System Monitoring, SharePoint backups/restores
  • Detailed knowledge of SharePoint Farm Level setup and configuration.
  • Knowledge of Search Configuration, business connectivity services, business data catalogue
  • ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server 2008/2012/2017/2019, SQL Server reporting services, SharePoint 2010
    development, JavaScript, .NET Framework 3.5/4.0, ADO.NET 3.5/4.0, UML, IIS, LINQ, Windows development,
    Silverlight, WPF, Windows Communication Foundation, Visual Studio, MS TFS, Release management
  • Understanding / experience in RPA / Machine Learning
  • A good understanding of enterprise architecture
  • Understanding of Microsoft Cloud Services
  • Business thinking, problem structuring and problem-solving ability
  • Strategic thinking continuous improvement, strategy translation
  • Strong people management (leadership) skills in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting, and business operations

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

  • University graduate (B.Sc. Computer Science or M.Sc. preferable) with previous experience as IT Manager in financial services
  • ITIL v3 Foundation Certification an advantage
  • TOGAF Certification an advantage
  • 7+ years managing a development team
  • Background in designing / developing IT systems and planning IT implementation
  • Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure
  • Previous digital transformation and data and analytics management experience
